Connecticut Maternity Photographer: Fall Maternity Session
This mom knew that she wanted her fall family session to double as a fall maternity photo shoot as well. That was perfect! Even though she was not very far along in her pregnancy, she was definitely showing. She came to the studio for a dress consultation. This was perfect for a few reasons. First, she wasn’t showing enough to use an actual maternity dress. But, because I carry the same dress in multiple sizes, I could bring different sizes of the dress, depending on how much she popped. That definitely helped with a lot of the planning. Second, we could choose one dress, knowing one of the sizes would fit so she could plan for her husband and son. No last minute panicked shopping trips for her! Not to mention, this color looked perfect on her.
Because this is a repeat family, they were ready for all of my toddler tricks. We played a lot of games, ate a lot of gummy snacks and ran around a whole bunch. As a Connecticut maternity photographer, I love that we were able to really highlight this special time with the whole family.
A few times throughout the session, the dad gave the toddler a break while I did maternity poses with the mom. She had her hair and make-up done by a local make-up artist that I recommended. And she looked absolutely radiant! Maternity photography is a nuanced art and you definitely need an experienced Connecticut maternity photographer that knows what they are doing for maternity poses.
Maternity Session Finale
At the end of this fall maternity photo shoot, we were walking up to the cars. That is when I noticed the perfect hidden spot, with great foliage. As repeat clients, they trust my judgment at this point. So we were able to get some unexpected, last minute shots that ended up being my favorites of the session. I love when clients are open to anything. That is really where the magic can happen as a Connecticut maternity photographer.
It’s hard to believe that this time next year, there will be a fourth member of this family. I can not wait to continue to watch them as they grow!
