I first started doing personality portraits for a local preschool a few years ago. As a CT family photographer, I absolutely loved seeing each kid get their moment in front of the camera. These sessions are so much fun because they are quick and simple. It is not all about props or outfits. It is truly a moment for your child to be themselves and show off their fun personalities! And the best part is, these images are affordable and make the best gifts for those hard-to-shop-for grandparents!
Personality Portraits 2023/2024
At this time, I am currently offering personality portraits on a large scale through local PTAs, for children only. If you are connected to a local PTA and are interested in hosting a personality portrait event, please reach out. I have the capacity to book 2-3 of these a year as a busy CT family photographer. The best months to book this are January, February or March.
The model that I have created for this event is turn-key. All local PTAs need to do is help with sending out emails to market the event. 15% of the proceeds are given to the PTA at the conclusion of the event.
If you would like more information, please do not hesitate to reach out. These events tend to book best on weekends during the winter, so please keep that in mind when tentatively planning your event. In addition, these personality portrait events typically need 6 months of notice for me to book.
Personality Portraits: PTA Fundraiser
To see a recent model of how the personality portrait sessions are run, you can see this event that was done for the Lake Garda School PTA. The event was held on a Friday afternoon/evening and a Saturday morning. 84 spots were offered and filled. Because of this, the PTA received over $1500 in profit. Parents loved the final, affordable images that make great gifts for grandparents.
There are so many benefits to creating black and white children portraits as a studio session. First, you do not need to worry about coordinating a lot of volunteers. This event can easily happen with 2-3 reliable parent volunteers. Second, weather is not really a factor (other than snow). And finally, they are classic and timeless.
