Newborn Girl Studio Session: The Prep
If you have had a baby, you know that traveling a few days after giving birth can be challenging. But these new parents were troopers! When they arrived at their CT newborn session, I was ready for them. I had used the questionnaire that the mom had provided to put together 4-5 sets for their little girl. As a Connecticut newborn photographer, I have so many props and seasonal accessories to completely customize your session.
We started with family photos in the beginning. After that, we moved on to each parent with their new little girl. And then finally, it was time for individual shots. I just love the way the newborn girl’s hair color really popped with all of the sets that I chose for her. She did such an amazing job sleeping for me, so that we could get all of the shots that we wanted.
Individual Newborn Portraits
A lot of people ask me what the parents do while I am doing individual newborn shots as a Connecticut newborn photographer. The answer? We usually chat! I love hearing about your birth story, how the first few days of newborn life is going and offer advice as a seasoned parent. Sometimes a parent runs out to get coffee or a snack. Other times, parents take a few quiet moments on their phone to regroup, knowing that their baby is in good hands.
I can not emphasize it enough. Please be sure that your Connecticut newborn photographer has been safety trained and knows infant CPR. It makes me cringe when someone hires a random person on Facebook for their CT newborn session for $50. Honestly, it is not about the money. It is about the fact that they are not trained. I worked 1:1 with two nationally known newborn photographs before ever working with a newborn on my own. And I promise you, that training wasn’t free, but it was priceless. I also can not imagine putting my own newborn in the care of someone that has not had safety training or infant CPR training. To each their own, but please do your research. Ask questions. You never want to have any regrets.
