Photographers who have had the most success hosting $5K Saturdays when they are confident with their camera and settings, have worked with children before, and already have organizational systems in place, such as a Client Management System (Dubsado, Honeybook, etc.) and a gallery delivery service (PicTime, ShootProof, etc.).
In my experience as a family photography business coach, if you are brand new to photography, confidently shooting mini-sessions would be your first step before taking on a Personality Portrait event.

To successfully implement this system, it is helpful to have working knowledge of your CRM (Dubsado, Honeybook, Sessions, etc.) and be able to execute simple workflows. In addition, you would need to know and have access to a gallery delivery service so that you can deliver and upsell the final product.
Finally, experience with basic Canva design and customizing documents in Google Drive will be necessary to create marketing materials.

In my experience as a family photography business coach, if you are brand new to photography, confidently shooting mini-sessions would be your first step before taking on a Personality Portrait event.
