This family is so near and dear to my heart. I am so grateful that my Connecticut newborn photography business connected us so many years ago. This family lives in my neighborhood and a few years back, I ran my studio out of my home. She saw my sign and reached out since she was wanting to book a Connecticut newborn photographer. Together, we did their first Connecticut newborn session at the studio and we have been close ever since.
Preparing For Your Newborn Studio Session
You may remember this family’s CT maternity session. They did a two part session. The first part was a CT snow session, with winter maternity pictures. The second half was in the spring as a spring blossom maternity session. Both CT maternity sessions were magical and I was so excited to meet their new baby.
Before their CT newborn session, the family chose their colors for the session. Once we had that decided, I created 4-5 sets for them. Because they wanted to include their toddler in a lot of the images, we focused on poses that involved the sibling first. From there, we did family pictures. The mom borrowed the perfect white dress from the Client Closet. Then, we did parent pictures and it was time for this baby boy to do his solo portraits.
CT Newborn Session
Many people are surprised to learn that a session with a Connecticut newborn photographer usually takes 2-3 hours. Because of this, I encourage parents with young children to bring two cars, whenever possible. That way, the toddler or older sibling(s) can leave when their portion is done. This is also why I set my sessions up the way that I do. All tired parents love getting their part over with and relaxing while I take over the newborn duties for an hour or so.
I can not guarantee newborn smiles as a CT newborn photographer, but man, do I get so excited when we get them! This baby boy did such a great job at his session. I absolutely melted when he flashed me that little grin. He looks so much like his big brother and I can’t wait to watch him grow! I am so glad this family found me years ago and booked me as their CT newborn photographer. Forever grateful!
