When this mom first reached out on social media, looking for a CT newborn photographer, I knew we were going to make a perfect match. We first met at this mom’s dress consultation for her CT maternity session. I got to really get to know both parents at their fall maternity session in Simsbury, CT which was so much fun (you can check it out here). I definitely did a happy dance when the mom let me know that she was being induced. We got a date on the calendar for her newborn session, so that we could make it happen within 5-12 days after birth.
The Baby Boy Newborn Session
This new family of three arrived at the studio for their newborn session and got to see all of the sets that I prepared. I love that the parents came in cozy outfits for lifestyle pictures. After that, the mom borrowed a dress from my Client Closet to wear for family portraits. It gave their gallery two totally different looks with minimal effort. Win, win!
As a CT newborn photographer, I have a specific workflow that I use with my clients. Newborn sessions tend to be about 2-3 hours long, because although I have a plan, sometimes your little one does too! I completely follow your baby’s lead and make sure that we get all of the priority shots. To start this CT newborn session, we first did family photos. We began with the cozy vibes on the bed. After that, the mom borrowed a dress from the Client Closet to change the look. From there, I took a few more pictures with each parent individually, then again together.
After that, the parents were able to sit back while I captured images of the baby by himself. There is a lot of patience that goes into being a CT newborn photographer but we made it happen. This little guy was so good to me. I truly can’t wait to watch him grow throughout his first year.
