I am still so excited about how this simple newborn boy session went back in the fall. October was a really busy month for newborns. Noah’s mom reached out to see if I had any availability. They had recently moved to Connecticut from out of state, and were looking for someone to capture these newborn images. When she mentioned she wanted a timeless, classic, neutral look for the session, I knew it was going to be a good one.
I’ll let Noah’s mom take it from here to describe her experience with her simple newborn boy session. This is a review that she wrote for me on Google. I only cried … a little.
Simple Newborn Boy Session: The Review
“When looking for newborn photos and family photos for our holiday card, it was challenging in that we were new to this area. We sent a few emails out to local photographers, after reviewing portfolios. A few of the photographers were too limited in their package offerings (some said they would only give 10 edited photos), others were extremely overpriced and charged extra for additional family members outside of the immediate family.
We received a message from Sharon and I knew she was the right photographer for us. Her email was personal, she asked us questions to gain great insight into what we were hoping to achieve during our photo session. She allowed for my parents, who were living with us and helping us out with our children, to be present and actively took really nice photos of them with the kids and all of us.
She was so patient with our 2 year old and our 2 week old. Sharon entertained our daughter with toys and took beautiful photos of our family. We were able to do a newborn, family, and holiday photos in just a short few hours because Sharon works very well with children and babies.
Sharon also provided a closet full of beautiful dresses for the mothers. Two weeks after having a baby, there was nothing in my closet that would fit me the way I wanted. Sharon had dresses in all sizes that were feminine, flowy, and flattering that was much appreciated. Her studio has great natural lighting and is well decorated.
There are tons of decorations and color themes to choose from (but if you are as overtired as I was, don’t worry, she will pick out seasonal decorations and do all the work).

When Sharon emailed me the photos of my family, I was really blown away by how perfect they all turned out. She even offers higher resolutions for photos that you want to print out bigger or turn into wrapped canvases.
I will end with this: Sharon is a delightful photographer and so easy going. She helped us get through the whole photo session without one toddler or infant meltdown. I had a memorable experience and am looking forward to using her, again, for our holiday photos.”
Simple Newborn Boy Session: Final Notes
As a mom myself, my goal is for you to get the images you want (i.e. the infamous sibling picture). My second goal is for you to get to relax and enjoy your session. I am so glad that this new mama of two was able to get both of those things at her newborn session.
